Creative
Writing
has been and will always be
a very essential part of the English
language. It is also one of the most
difficult to learn and master. How to
express ideas clearly and effectively and
communicate them in writing are challenging
abilities to develop.
As pertains to children,
the basic learning foundation of a child must be
cultivated. This can be relatively easily
accomplished when a child is young. It is
during this period that their mind is the most
active, clear of opinions and biases, and they
are the most adventurous. It is also
during this period that they are the most eager
to learn.
My approach to Creative
Writing education for children is to train them
to develop their minds creatively, helping them
to shape their thought processes so they can
think independently and with insight. My
Creative Writing programmes enable children to
read fluently and with understanding, to express
themselves clearly and effectively, to write
creatively, and to think independently.
I also understand the
problems Asian and foreign students face locally
with English language comprehension and
composition. Unfortunately, these students
will not find help, guidance, assistance or
instruction for these in any currently existing
off-the-shelf Creative Writing programme or
standard Creative Writing course of
instruction.
My Creative Writing
programmes and instructional methods have been
developed taking into consideration the
Singapore Ministry of Education syllabuses for
Primary and Secondary school grade levels.
After more than eight years developing and
fine-tuning these methods while instructing
students from this region, I know they
work. I have also successfully applied
these methods to college students and adults to
help them improve their English language
comprehension and communicating
capabilities.
At the request of many
parents, I now also offer a specialized Phonics
Pre-School Reading Programme for children aged 3
to 5. Each class normally consists of 1 or
2 students. This ensures that each child
gets the most from every lesson, preparing them
for successful entry into the Primary 1 grade
level.
In today's world, almost
all forms of written communication; including
marketing, advertising and media production, to
mention but a few, require some level of
Creative Writing skill, as well as an in depth
comprehension and understanding of the English
language.

Enrichment Programmes can do for your child, or
